The Delphi Interview
Let Delphi ask questions relevant to you to help train your Digital Mind.
Overview
Interview is a new way to train your Delphi through a guided conversation that helps it learn how you think. During Interview, an agent asks you structured, open-ended questions about topics that matter most to your expertise or domain.
Think of it as your Delphi’s personalized onboarding - a live discovery session that builds depth, nuance, and tone directly from your responses.
Who It’s For
Right now: Early access users Interview is in early access, meaning it’s currently available for a limited group of users while we gather feedback and data.
Where to Find It
Interview lives on your Delphi Studio homepage.
You can start a session in one of two ways:
From the Quick Interview card on your homepage.
From the Train My Delphi section — select Start Interview (Early Access).

How It Works
0. Loading Screen
When you start a new session, Delphi will prepare your Interview environment.
1. Interview Starts
The agent begins with a question under a topic heading — for example, Design Critique Philosophy. Each session includes multiple topics; new ones generate automatically based on your answers.
UI overview:
Top bar: topic title and active question.
Left sidebar: list of completed and upcoming topics.
Bottom input field: type responses or use speech-to-text.
Save & Exit: exits and saves progress for later continuation.
2. Answering Questions
You can type or speak your answers using the microphone icon or Spacebar to start/stop recording.
While answering:
Your response appears with a vertical bar (left-aligned).
“Thinking…” appears while Delphi processes your answer.
You can pause or restart speech-to-text using Space (only when input field is empty).
3. Topic Progress
Each topic shows a completion percentage and an orange progress bar. Progress only increases when you give meaningful, context-rich answers — saying “idk” or short replies will not count.
Notes:
The page auto-scrolls to your latest message.
Topic completion increases gradually as you go deeper.
Progress increases with the quality and detail of your response
4. Topic Completion
When a topic reaches 100%, Delphi will:
Generate a new topic, shown in the left sidebar.
Create a new insight — a short summary interpreting what your responses reveal about your perspective or process.
Each insight captures a small truth about how you think - helping your Delphi replicate your tone, reasoning, and worldview.
Training the Mind
When you complete a topic, your Interview data automatically saves to the Mind → Interviews folder.
Each topic appears as a snippet under Interviews.
You can edit, change access settings, or update Context like any other Mind item.
The more interviews you complete, the richer and more contextual your Delphi becomes — each snippet strengthens its understanding of your expertise and personality.
Leaving the Interview
You can exit anytime using Save & Exit. When you return, Delphi will ask whether you want to continue your previous session or start a new one.
Session details:
Topics continue generating indefinitely until you exit.
If a topic has greater than 0% completion, its content is saved.
If you leave or lose connection, progress is preserved.
After 8 days of inactivity, the cookie expires and a new session starts automatically on next visit.
Pro Tips
Use your voice: speaking creates more natural and expressive content for your Delphi.
Elaborate: longer, thoughtful answers train your Delphi faster and improve tone accuracy.
Think aloud: Delphi’s goal is to understand your reasoning, not just your conclusions.
Common Questions
Can I edit interview content later? Yes. All saved interview topics live under Mind → Interviews. You can update Context, or set new Access Groups anytime.
Does Interview replace manual uploads? No — it complements them. Interview builds depth while uploads add breadth.
Who can access Interview? Currently early access users only. We’ll open it gradually as we stabilize the experience.
How long can interviews run? There’s no hard limit. You can continue indefinitely, generating new topics as Delphi learns more about you.
Next Steps
