Clone Voice
Uploading a proper voice sample is critical to the Clone building process. Not only will it be used for interactions with users, but it also enables you to extract select content from your audio and video files to train your Clone.
For the best results, we recommend using a professional microphone. The clearer the audio, the more authentic your clone’s voice will be. An alternative to a high-quality microphone is using your iPhone and recording the sample with the Voice Memo app.
Best Practices
The sample needs to be at least 90 seconds long. We recommend capturing 2-4 minutes of audio to properly train the voice.
There must be absolutely no background noise when you are recording the sample. Any noise that gets picked up will negatively affect training and lead to a subpar Clone voice.
One voice sample is better than multiple. If you upload multiple voice samples recorded on different pieces of equipment with different settings, it will synthesize the samples and create a subpar Clone voice. We recommend using just one sample. If you have multiple samples recorded from the same device and environment, that will be acceptable.
Speak in the voice sample as you want the Clone to communicate. Tell your life story or give a motivational speech. Exaggerate your natural emotion when speaking, so the Clone can mimic it. If reading from a script is more comfortable for you, then read a passage from your favorite book.
Adjusting Settings
Stability - This controls the fluctuation of pitch in your voice. If you want to create more variance, move the slider to ‘More Dynamic.’
Clarity- Matches how closely the Clone should adhere to the original voice sample when replicating. If you followed the instructions above, we recommend setting this to high.
Style Exaggeration - Determines the cadence of speech. If you would like to have more variance in pace, move the slider to ‘Exaggerated.’
Speaker Boost - We recommend you select this option. It increases the similarity of the Clone voice to the sample.
Voice Description - Add custom descriptions of your voice to put the finishing touches on your Clone. Examples include deep, cheerful, raspy, etc.
