Set Up

Create your groups, invite people, and place them in the right spot.

What it is

A step‑by‑step guide to getting Access Groups ready and assigning members. You’ll create Insiders, add collaborators to Just Me, and place invited users into the correct group.

Note: The only groups available are Anonymous, Public, Insiders, and Just Me—you cannot create additional group types.

Quick Start

  1. Create Insiders — Open Access Groups and click Create Insiders Access Group.

  2. Invite people — From Audience, invite users (single, or via CSV, for Scaler and Custom Only).

  3. Assign to Insiders — In Audience, select the invited user(s) → Edit Access Group (bottom) → choose InsidersSave Changes.

  4. Add collaborators — Put teammates in Just Me (this also grants collaborator access).

  5. Know Public/Anonymous behavior — Anything in Public is also available to Anonymous; users move to Public when they hit Anonymous limits.

Step‑by‑step

1) Create the Insiders group

  • Go to Access Groups → click Create Insiders Access Group.

2) Invite users you’ll place in Insiders

  • Open Audience → Invite.

  • Enter emails (or paste a list/CSV - Scalar only) and send invites.

  • Invitees appear with status Invited until they interact.

3) Assign invited users to Insiders

  • In Audience, select the user(s).

  • Click Edit Access Group (bottom).

  • Choose InsidersSave Changes.

  • Remove any filters at the top that could stop you from seeing people who invited but not yet active.

4) Add collaborators to Just Me

  • Add teammates who need unlimited access to Just Me.

  • Anyone in Just Me also has collaborator access to your Delphi.

5) Understand Public and Anonymous

  • Public = logged‑in members (email collected).

  • Anonymous = not logged in; can be limited or disabled via usage allowance.

  • Public content is also visible to Anonymous.

FAQs

  • Can I create more Access Groups? No—only Anonymous, Public, Insiders, Just Me.

  • Do Public and Anonymous have separate content? No—anything in Public is accessible to Anonymous.

  • Why is Just Me unlimited? Just Me is always unlimited and cannot be limited.

Best practices

  • Invite first, assign second: You must invite someone before assigning them to Insiders.

  • Plan your cohorts: Use CSV invites (only available in Scalar) for larger Insiders cohorts, then assign them in one pass.

  • Keep collaborators minimal: Only add people who truly need Just Me access.
