Compose / Schedule / Templates

What to say, when to send it, and how to turn one blast into a thoughtful sequence with Actions.

What it is

Guidance for writing broadcasts, planning a lightweight campaign, and pairing Broadcasts with Actions for timely nudges and follow‑ups. Includes ready‑to‑use templates for Email, and SMS.

Plan the campaign (simple playbook)

  1. Define the outcome: e.g., webinar sign‑ups, course upsell, community check‑in, membership renewals.

  2. Pick channels: Email for detail; SMS for short, time‑sensitive prompts.

  3. Set cadence: Example week: Day 0 broadcast → Day 1 nudge via Action → Day 3 reminder → Day 7 wrap‑up.

  4. Segment smartly: Use tags (Audience & Segmentation) and exclusions so each send is relevant.

  5. Close the loop: Use Actions to check in based on behavior (clicked, didn’t click, attended, no‑show).

Pair Broadcasts with Actions (example sequences)

Sequence A — Launch day (SMS)

  • Broadcast (Day 0): SMS to all Interested users: quick invite + link.

  • Action (Day 1): Automatically DM anyone who didn’t respond, asking if timing was an issue.

  • Action (Day 3): Tag those who clicked as Warm; optionally sync to your CRM.

Sequence B — Course upsell (Email + SMS)

  • Broadcast (Day 0): Email to Trial segment with a short case study + CTA.

  • Action (Day 1): SMS check‑in: “Any questions about the module we mentioned yesterday?”

  • Action (Day 7): If no purchase, follow‑up with one FAQ and a soft CTA.

Sequence C — Community health (Email)

  • Broadcast (Day 0): Monthly highlights to Members.

  • Action (Day 1): Tag anyone who replies with a win as Champions for future spotlights.

  • Action (Day 3): Nudge non‑posters to share one small win.

Actions run automatically after your broadcast; perfect for gentle, timely nudges without extra manual work.

What to write (channel‑aware guidance)

Lead with value (line 1). State the benefit upfront. Make the ask obvious. One clear CTA per message. Personalize lightly. Use {user} for first‑name when appropriate. Match the medium.

  • Email: short subject, 2–4 tight paragraphs, skimmable bullets, explicit CTA button/link.

  • SMS: 1–3 short lines; put the CTA link near the top; avoid walls of text. Respect timing. Consider time zones when scheduling.

Schedule & cadence tips

  • Name + schedule together. Use YYYY‑MM‑DD | Topic, then pick a send time that matches recipient time zones.

  • Batch compose. Draft the series at once; save as Draft and schedule each step.

  • Mind fatigue. Space nudges 24–72 hours apart unless time‑sensitive.

  • Follow engagement. If replies spike, slow the next send and respond personally where useful.
