Document Types

Exactly what each source type does, how to add it, and what to watch out for.

Use this with Adding Content (modal workflow), Feeds (sync rules), and Content Settings (per‑item metadata).

Websites

What it is: Bring in web pages, whole sites, or bulk URL lists. Stored as a clean HTML/Markdown snapshot for training.

Ways to add

  • Single Page (one URL) → Paste URL → + → confirm attribution (uncheck written by or about me for third‑party) → queue more → Continue.

  • Scrape Links (multiple pages) → Paste domain or RSS → choose Entire domain or Linked pages only → (RSS) optional Keep syncedScrape → prune → Continue.

  • CSV (bulk URLs) → Upload CSV with columns: URL, Context (optional), Citation URL (optional) → Continue.

Sync & limits

  • Sync via RSS adds new pages only (edits to old pages aren’t captured).

  • Embedded web videos are not imported—upload video files under Files.

Best practices

  • Add Context (how/when to use) and Publish date for recency.

  • Use Citation URL override to point to a canonical/public link.

  • Prefer RSS for ongoing blogs/news.

YouTube

What it is: Import videos, playlists, or channels; auto‑transcribed for training.

Ways to add

  • Paste a video / playlist / channel URL → set attribution → queue → Continue.

Sync & limits

  • Keep synced: Channels only (playlists don’t sync).

  • Voice credit: credit your voice only; tag others correctly in Content Settings.

Best practices

  • Use Context to indicate topic/series (e.g., “Module 3: Pricing”).

  • Provide Publish date from YouTube.

Socials

What it is: Import posts from X (Twitter), TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn.

Ways to add

  • X (Twitter): Enter handle (no @) → (optional) Keep syncedContinue.

  • TikTok: Enter handle → Continue (no sync).

  • Instagram / Facebook / LinkedIn: Upload data export ZIP → review posts → Continue.

Sync & limits

  • Sync: X only (here). TikTok no. IG/FB/LinkedIn via ZIP only (no sync).

  • Images: Instagram photos become part of training; ensure rights.

  • LinkedIn exports: Must include posts; otherwise upload fails.

Best practices

  • Attribute correctly for non‑owned accounts.

  • Use Context to cluster campaigns/series.

Files

What it is: Upload documents/media from your computer or cloud drives.

Ways to add

  • Computer: Drag & drop or picker → list appears → Continue. (Edit details later in the Dock.)

  • Cloud drives: Connect Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, Google Drive → select files → Continue.

Media specifics

  • Audio/Video: Works like YouTube/Podcasts. Credit only your voice; tag others by name or “someone else.” For sensitive calls, redact and upload a PDF transcript.

Best practices

  • Batch long docs by topic; add Context and Publish date.

  • Use clear filenames; they appear in tables and citations.

Podcasts

What it is: Import single episodes or an entire series.

Ways to add

  • Single episode: Search/select episode → confirm attribution → Continue.

  • Series: Search/select series → review list → (optional) Keep synced → prune → Continue.

Sync & limits

  • Sync: Series add new episodes only (no edits to old).

  • Voice credit: Credit only your speech; others are stored but not credited to you.

Best practices

  • Add Publish date and Context (e.g., “Ep 14: Pricing myths”).

Snippets

What it is: Curated Q&A pairs and Text Notes your Delphi can use verbatim.

Ways to add

  • Q&A: Enter Question + Answer (attach image if relevant) → Add.

  • CSV (Q&A): Upload CSV with columns Question, Answer (auto‑imports to Dock).

  • Text Note: Short free‑form note → (optional image) → Add.

Best practices

  • Use Q&As for high‑stakes answers (policies, canonical responses).

  • Cross‑link with Suggested Questions for guided starts.

Notes App

What it is: Pull notes/messages from Notion, Evernote, Slack.

Ways to add

  • Notion: Connect → select pages → Allow → (optional) Keep syncedContinue.

  • Evernote: Connect → choose notebooks/notes → Continue (one‑time import).

  • Slack: Connect/authorize → pick channels/DMs → (optional) Keep syncedContinue.

Sync & limits

  • Keep synced: Notion and Slack (when enabled) add new items only.

  • Evernote: Static; re‑import to update.

Best practices

  • Tag confidential notes as such; prefer redacted PDFs for sensitive material.

  • Add Context so Delphi knows when a note applies.

Content Loading Dock (applies to all types)

What it is: A staging area inside the Add Content modal. Collect items from any tab, set one Access Group for the batch, edit details (Author, Context, Citation URL, Publish date, Keep synced), prune, then Finish Uploading to start training.

Important limits

  • Leaving the modal clears the Dock. Use the exit prompt to Finish or Discard.

  • One Access Group per batch. Split uploads if you need different permissions.

  • Recency matters: Set Publish date for accurate freshness behavior.

FAQs / Troubleshooting

  • Why was my LinkedIn export rejected? Your export probably didn’t include posts. Re-request your data from LinkedIn and choose the package that includes posts. Then re-upload that ZIP — Delphi needs post content, not just profile data.

  • How do I make Delphi prioritize recent content? Recency is automatic — it’s based on each file’s Published Date. If results feel off, update the publish dates in your Content Table and add short context notes. Accurate timestamps = smarter, fresher responses.

  • If I upload from Google Drive or Notion, can others see my connected files? No. Your integrations stay private to your login session. Collaborators can’t see or access your connected accounts. Only files you upload into Delphi become visible to others in your workspace. They can view those in the Content Table → Settings → View Document.
