Bulk Action
Update many users at once, fast and consistently.
What it is
Tools on the Audience page that let you apply changes to multiple users in one go, especially useful after events, launches, or campaigns. Typical uses include adding/removing tags across a segment and, where enabled, revoking or granting access in bulk.
Where: Studio → Audience (toolbar actions above the table)
Why it matters
Speed: One action updates dozens of users in seconds.
Consistency: Shared tags/permissions stay uniform across a cohort.
Focus: Pair with filters/sorts to target exactly the right people.
Quick Start (60 seconds)
In Audience, use Filters to narrow to the exact segment.
Select users (header checkbox selects all in view; or tick rows individually).
Open Bulk Actions and choose what you need.
Confirm the change and review the updated rows.
How to use Bulk Actions
Select your group
Go to the Audience page.
Tick the header checkbox to grab every user on‑screen, or tick boxes beside specific names.
Use Filters first to make selection easier.
Edit tags in bulk
Click Edit Tags in the bottom bar.
Add or remove tags, then click Save Changes.
Review the pop‑up → Confirm Update. Look for a green check confirming success.
Revoke (or grant) access in bulk (if available)
With the same selection, choose Revoke Access (or Grant Access).
Confirm the action in the dialog.
To restore later: filter to Revoked Users, select the same users → Grant Access.
Favorite recipes
Rescue stalled invitees: Filter Status = Invited + Messages = 0, then bulk‑email a reminder and/or tag for tracking.
Spot silent payers: Filter Membership = Paid, sort Last Active Asc., then tag the quiet segment for outreach.
Best practices
Segment first: Filters → then select → then bulk update.
Name tags clearly: Short, meaningful labels (e.g., Prospect, Paid Member, Event‑2025).
Log changes: Note large re-tags so your team knows why numbers moved.
Verify: Scan a few updated rows to confirm results.
FAQs
Can I bulk‑invite here? Use Invite to send invitations; Bulk Actions update existing Audience records.
Can I undo a bulk action if I tagged or revoked the wrong group? There’s no one-click undo for bulk actions. Rerun the opposite bulk action (e.g., remove the tag you just added or grant access back) on the same selection.
Why didn’t everyone update? Only selected, visible rows are changed, expand the page or repeat on the next set. Use Filters to avoid missing users.
