Stand up a baseline FAQ with citations to deflect repeat questions.

Outcome at a glance

Who it’s for: Anyone fielding repetitive “how do I…?” and policy questions. What you’ll achieve: A grounded FAQ library with Citations ON, embedded on your Docs/FAQ page. Time to first win: 45–60 minutes.

Why it matters

  • Trust & transparency: Users can verify claims and go deeper.

  • Lower support load: Consistent answers reduce tickets.

  • Faster iteration: Gaps surface in Conversations and get patched weekly.

What you’ll set up

  • Mind → Document Types (FAQs, Policies, How‑tos).

  • Content Settings (Context, Citation URL override, Publish Date).

  • Mind Settings → Citations = Show.

  • Integrations → Website Embed (Docs/FAQ page).

  • Conversations → Review & Revise routine.

Build → Launch → Operate

Build (30–40 min)

  1. Upload: Top 20 FAQs, Policies, 3 How‑tos. Ensure each has Publish Date + Context.

  2. Turn Show citations ON in Mind Settings.

Launch (10–15 min)

  1. Embed the chat on your Docs/FAQ page.

  2. Add 3 Suggested Questions that point to your strongest docs.

Operate (weekly, 30 min)

  1. Filter & Search for “no answer” or “long replies”; Revise the top 5 answers; add missing docs.

  2. Keep Publish Dates accurate so recency works.

Recipes (copy → tailor)

Weekly “Revise” routine

  • Filter Last 7 days → sort by length → revise top 5.

  • Add 1 doc for a repeated gap; set Context + Publish Date.

Starter set

  • “What’s the refund policy?”

  • “How do I change my password?”

  • “Show me how to [task] step‑by‑step.”

Metrics to watch

  • Unanswered rate (should drop weekly)

  • Doc CTR from citations

  • Avg. first response time (instant & grounded)

Troubleshooting

  • Citations missing → Ensure sources are copy‑pastable text; set Citation URL overrides.

  • Out‑of‑date info → Update Publish Date and upload newer sources.
