What it is

Phone Integration assigns your Delphi its own SMS/voice line. You choose a toll‑free or 10 DLC local number (US/Canada) or a US toll‑free number for the rest of the world. Carriers vet your business details for compliance, then flip the switch so Delphi can handle inbound texts and calls 24 × 7.

Mark Business or Individual/Sole Proprietor (US / Canada only).

• Toll-free – Faster approval (3-5 days); good for nationwide reach.

• 10 DLC – Local area code; longer approval (1-3 weeks), US / Canada only.

Complete the form

Enter your legal business name, address, website, and use case exactly as they appear on public records—and make sure that same business name is visible on the homepage or footer of the website you submit.

Submit and track status

• Pending Review (blue) – carrier verification in progress.

• Connected (green) – number approved; start texting or calling.

• Review Failed (red) – business details didn’t match carrier records. Click the card, correct the information, and resubmit.

What’s the difference between toll‑free and 10 DLC?

Toll‑free numbers (e.g., 800‑xxx‑xxxx) give you nationwide reach in the US and Canada and usually clear review in 3–5 business days. They can sometimes deliver to international carriers, but delivery outside North America isn’t guaranteed—use WhatsApp or another channel for consistent global messaging.

A 10 DLC ("10‑digit long code") is a local number with the area code you choose, takes 1–3 weeks for carrier vetting, and is ideal for a familiar regional presence. 10 DLC traffic is strictly U.S.‑only and won’t reach international numbers, so rely on toll‑free or WhatsApp if you need overseas coverage.

My phone number request says it failed, what do I do?

When you see Review Failed in red for your phone number, it means carriers rejected your details. Fix it fast to restart approval.

How to resolve

• Check legal name. Match the exact name on tax records.

• Add business name to site. Display it in the footer or About page so carriers can verify.

• Verify tax ID and address. Correct typos or outdated info.

• Resubmit the form. Open the Phone card, edit details, and click Submit again.

Approval countdown resets after each resubmission, so act quickly to stay on schedule.

Can I pick a specific area code?

Yes—when you choose a 10 DLC number you can request any available US/Canada area code that fits your audience. Toll‑free numbers are assigned at random from the 8xx range.

Will international users be able to text my Delphi?

Global SMS delivery varies by carrier, but anyone can message Delphi over WhatsApp using the same number once you connect that channel—ideal for overseas audiences. For more information, look here.

How do I test that texting and calling work?

After the status shows Connected, text and call the new number from your own phone; you should receive Delphi’s SMS greeting and voice intro.

Can I port an existing business number into Delphi?

Porting in an existing 10DLC business number isn't supported except for those on our Unlimited plan.
